Fun Weekend

Well this was a fun weekend. I had a totally fun weekend with my mom. Our trip to Chesterfield, MO (St. Louis area) was delightful. We shopped both Friday and Saturday. Friday evening we went out to dinner with hockey friends and then went and cheered on the Topeka Roadrunners. Unfortunately we lost and therefore placed 2nd in the division for the regular season. Saturday it was raining but we shopped anyway. I eventually found the Butterfly House and we totally enjoyed the up close and personal experience with butterflies from tropical countries. I'll post a picture or two later (they definately will be scrapped.)

Saturday night it was like the pressure was off and the Roadrunners beat the Bandits in a shootout. We saw the team off and wished them a save ride home. They drove for about an hour and a half before having to pull off due to the snow storm. All the fans stayed over night at the DoubleTree in Chesterfield and had a blast. I enjoyed my strawberry margaritas-made extra strong and in my big "water mug".

I took lots of pictures and will be printing them off this week. I am getting ready for next weeks crop at wescrap.

Oh by the way wescrap is having a boot camp for a DT member. Haven't decided to join yet.

That weekend is the first of the playoff games for the Topeka Roadrunners and mom's birthday but I will find time to scrap.

Busy weekend ahead

I have a busy weekend ahead. There is a weekend crop online at Mon Ame Memories. Click on the image below to be taken to that site. There is also a link to the forum to sign in below.

However I don't know that I'll be participating much as my Topeka Roadrunners are playing in Chesterfield Missouri against the St. Louis Bandits. It is the final games of the regular season and they are tied for the regular season champions and the divisional champions. My mom and I are driving over to support the team and have fun. I will be checking online when I can to see the progress of the crop. But my main focus this weekend will be cheering on the runners and taking lots of photos of the roadtrip.

It's been a while

I have been offline for a while. Finally my brother has setup a wireless home network and I will be able to go to my favorite sites to post.

I have not been scrappin' alot--lost my mojo recently. But tomorrow I must get cards done for my wescrap.com card swap.

I have volunteered to present at the Building a Better Tomorrow Conference in Kansas City in June. I am a replacement presenter so my name is not on the website. My presentation is the Capturing Memories and Meaning. I am excited to be able to help present on scrapbooking for the people you support or yourself for that matter. The conference is geared towards professionals, support staff, individual and families of those with developmental disablities. You can check out the conference info here. http://www.bbtcon.com

The hockey season is coming to an end. I am looking forward to our last regular season home games and a bus trip. The Roadrunners will make the playoffs and we will have playoff games in April!

A photo challenge

I have another first....I've been tagged by my friends Ann Marie and Ally.

So what I am supposed to do is:

Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.

1. Pick the 6th Folder, then select the the 6th picture in that folder.

2. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.

3. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know, to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

And here's the photo that popped up for me....

To tell the truth I was on my laptop when checking my blog, so I don't have many pictures on there. This was a picture of a card I made for a hearts and birthday challenge on wescrap.com.

Some hockey related Scrapbook pages

At the Mon Ame Memories Super Bowl Crop last weekend I did two layouts with hockey as the focus subjects.

This was done for a music inspiration layout. I am currently loving Pink's "So What" song and used it to do a layout about the fights.

I used misc cardstock, White Signo pen, Cricut Sports mania cartridge., Fiskars stamps and misc ink for title.

This was done for the funny photo layout. Used white signo pen, Stickopotamus XXL stickers, misc cardstock.

Sorry Its been a while.

Well I started this blog then got really distracted with life and have not updated it in a while. My life has been really busy with the holidays, hockey, work and scrapbooking. This past weekend I worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and we had hockey games Friday and Saturday. It was also Super Bowl Weekend and Mon Ame Memories ( http://www.monamememories.com )had a weekend online crop. So I spent my weekend very busy.

I got several layouts done especially during the superbowl..I think this was the first year in a while that I really did not watch it.

So here are a few of the layouts I did. Sorry if the images are bad quality...Need to improve my photo taking for posting online.
